The Real Estate General Authority (REGA) concluded the “Real Estate Training Forum” yesterday, held at the Riyadh Convention and Exhibition Center, with the participation of REGA’s Chief Executive Officer, Engineer Abdullah bin Saud Al-Hammad.
The forum focused on the current landscape of real estate training and its role in addressing the needs of the real estate market, promoting a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, and raising professional standards across the sector. It also highlighted modern trends and approaches in real estate training and their impact on enhancing the professionalism of real estate transactions.
In the first dialogue session, which brought together leading figures in human capital development and real estate sector advancement, speakers emphasized the importance of enhancing the competitiveness of Saudi citizens both locally and globally. They affirmed that REGA’s efforts—particularly through the Saudi Real Estate Institute—demonstrate the strategic value of training in supporting competitiveness and human capital development. In light of Saudi Vision 2030 and its ambitious programs, speakers stressed the pressing need to establish a dedicated Saudi university specializing in real estate sciences.
The discussion also noted the Kingdom’s success in preparing skilled Saudi citizens who compete effectively across various sectors. The speakers highlighted the national achievement of integrating artificial intelligence into the learning journey and praised the growing awareness among Saudis about the importance of skill development to become global competitors.
In the second dialogue session, participants discussed the importance of real estate training in developing innovative solutions and addressing sector challenges. They emphasized that academic programs offered by Saudi universities are helping bridge the gap between theoretical education and practical market demands. The speakers noted that the adoption of real estate technologies represents the future of real estate transactions and enhances the overall experience for beneficiaries. Real estate professionals, they stated, must embrace modern technologies and understand how to apply them in day-to-day operations to boost efficiency and productivity.
The forum also saw calls for the development of specialized academic programs and professional fellowships in real estate development to train and equip Saudi youth with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in the sector. Participants underscored the value of studying international best practices and expressed pride in the progress made by the Saudi real estate sector—particularly the success of the Ejar network and the implementation of the Real Estate Brokerage Law.
It is worth noting that the Real Estate Training Forum is part of REGA’s ongoing efforts to improve the efficiency of professionals working in the real estate sector. The forum supports the broader goal of building a strong and advanced real estate industry that contributes to national economic growth and fulfills the aspirations of the comprehensive real estate sector strategy—ensuring sustainability in the delivery of high-quality real estate services for a more developed and forward-looking real estate future.
